Dear Companions in Christ,
We welcome you to ST. Paul's Episcopal Church for Sunday, May 15, 2022, the 5th Sunday of Easter. The Rev. Linda Spiers will be here with us on Sundays and for pastoral emergencies during the Rector’s Sabbatical. She and Senior Warden Amy Foster and Junior Warden Tammy Napoli will be working closely with our staff.
This week we'll worship in services at 8:00AM and 9:30AM. The later service is livestreamed on our YouTube Channel then archived for future viewing and shown on WPAA-TV at the usual times. You can download this week's bulletin here.
Coffee Hour TODAY! - Please join us for coffee hour today following the 9:30 service. We hope to continue coffee hour through June and invite you to host a week. Please sign-up on the easel at the back of the church. On weeks where no one signs up, we will not have coffee hour.
The Way of Love: Following Jesus & Changing the World – This week’s word is: TURN which in The Way of Love invites us to pause, listen, and choose to follow Jesus. In John’s Gospel Jesus gives the disciples a new commandment to love one another. By loving one another, others will know that we are Jesus’ disciples in our time. Let us turn toward this new commandment and love one another with all our heart and mind and strength.

The community-wide food drive to benefit Master’s Manna will take place this Saturday, May 14th from 9:00-12:00 in St. Paul’s parking lot. This event will be held throughout the year on the second Saturday of the month (weather permitting) as part of our “Love Your Neighbor as Yourself” campaign. We will be collecting nonperishable food and cash donations for Master’s Manna (checks made payable to “Master’s Manna”). Much needed items at this time are pasta, sauce, canned fruit, side dishes such as rice and noodle mixes, instant potato mixes, cookies or crackers. Please take advantage of sales at the grocery stores to help stock the dwindling supplies on the shelves at Master’s Manna. We’re looking forward to seeing you on May 14th.

Spring Healing Prayer
submitted by St. Paul’s Healing Prayer Group
submitted by St. Paul’s Healing Prayer Group
Heavenly Father, we thank you for your unwavering presence in our lives. We pray you bestow upon us your strength, hope, peace and above all faith. Father, we need you in our lives. Some of us are sick in body, some are sick in spirit. But we know that your steadfast and powerful healing can work miracles in all of us. Father, in this season of spring, remind us that we are ALL worthy of renewal in our lives and that we can always call upon you to send your love and healing. Father, you know our needs . Hear us now. In your holy name we pray. Amen.
Prayer for the people of Ukraine
God of peace and justice, we pray for the people of Ukraine today. We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons. We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow, that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them. We pray for those with power over war or peace, for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions. Above all, we pray for all your precious children, at risk and in fear, that you would hold and protect them. We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Amen.
