Community Ministries
At St. Paul’s, we are passionate about living out God’s teachings of love in community with our neighbors. And we are always looking for new ways to serve our neighbors and live out our faith in action. St. Paul's is proud to participate in several town-wide events that bring the community into our church and our church into the community. Celebrate Wallingford, the Holiday Stroll, and the Wallingford Garden Market are some of the places we meet neighbors and friends and invite them to learn more about us. Read below for some of our current community ministries! “Love your neighbors” food drive: Begun during the COVID-19 pandemic, our drive-through collection events in the church parking lot have become a monthly outreach activity. As of my September 2023, we have collected thousands of pounds of food, countless diapers, and cash donations to benefit Master’s Manna in Wallingford, CT. Columbus House: We have come together to cook, prepare, and deliver meals for our unhoused and vulnerable neighbors in nearby Middletown, CT. Wallingford Community Dinners: St. Paul’s is proud to partner with other faith organizations in town to provide holiday dinners to those in need on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Wallingford’s “Holiday for Giving” collection: Our parish loves to support this community event, which provides new toys, clothes, and books to children in need during the Christmas season. Please visit the St. Paul's Thrift Shop page to learn about that longtime community ministry. |
