St. Paul's
Nursery School 65 North Main
Street We couldn't have asked for a better Nursery School experience for our son! With caring and love, Jeanette, Louise and Lori provided him with the supportive environment her needed to develop both intellectually and socially. We know that with all the guidance and encouragement he received at St. Paul’s he is ready to take on the world! Sincerely, Paul and Barbara Wade
We can’t imagine our children attending any other pre-school program than St. Paul’s. Miss Jeanette, Miss Louise, and Miss Lori are the most wonderful teachers. They are loving and caring and not only teach the children academics but also life skills and morals. We are so grateful our children attended St. Paul’s. Peter and Andrea Focareto
After looking at many different nursery schools (and paying initial registration fees at two!) I walked into St. Paul’s Nursery School and knew within ten minutes that this was the right place for my daughter. I was apprehensive about leaving my daughter because she was starting mid-year, and I didn't want her to be intimidated or feel out of place. It was the nurturing, caring nature of the three teachers at St. Paul’s that made me feel confident that she would be o.k. and she was! In the last two years that Casey has gone to St. Paul’s, I have seen her grow in confidence and in academic skills, but also just have fun socializing with her peers. The activities, fun and field trips are wonderful and the parental involvement that is encouraged makes for added fun too! St. Paul’s, most of all, is a loving and supportive environment for a young child to get comfortable with herself and others. Lauren Loughlin
This is a very bittersweet letter to write! My sister and I have been involved with St. Paul’s Pre-school for eight years! My eldest niece began here… and now my youngest son will finish his last day of school tomorrow. I have commuted from Meriden to St. Paul’s for three years and I’ll tell you why… The teachers here, as far as myself and my sister are concerned, are in one word –phenomenal-specifically, they are caring, nurturing, involved and fun!!! These three women that run the program truly go above and beyond. As an occasional volunteer, I have witnessed it first hand. Both of my sons, as well as my nieces, have flourished thanks to these selfless women…who have children of their own and really understand what kind environment children need to thrive, for today, and their futures at "real" school. The children have art projects, field trips, story and snack time, plenty of play -time, and socialization to prepare them for kindergarten. Finally, on a last note, there are very generous scholarships available also. St. Paul’s Church, and the wonderful teachers involved with the pre-school program can help. It was such a fulfilling experience for myself, and my two boys, to have St. Paul’s in our lives. Very Sincerely, Kelle T. Szadaj
The first time we visited St. Paul’s we knew this was the nursery school for us. Renee walked in and started to play without hesitation. The classrooms were neat and well organized. Knowing that there were three teachers made us feel better about supervision. The first day of school was hard for us. To know that our child would not be in our direct line of vision was scary. We worried about her safety and ability to function without our instruction. How silly that seems to us now. Renee has always been very social, but the teachers encouraged her and helped to refine her abilities. Good manners are encouraged. Good habits and good behavior are expected. We feel as if the teachers have re-enforced what we as parents have tried to instill in our child. Every event from the Christmas party to the Mothers day tea were done with love and care. Not only did the children feel special, the parents did too. Any issue that we brought to the teachers attention was promptly handled with respect. We would recommend St. Paul’s to anyone interested in sending his or her child to Nursery School. We look forward to the day we send our son because we know he will excel at St. Paul’s. Renee is now trying to spell and read words. We feel that all of the encouragement given to her at school has helped light that fire. Paul and Anne Marie Pulisz
St. Paul’s Nursery School offers such a nurturing environment to promote learning. The children thrive with praise and a variety of opportunities to explore new things. My son blossomed is such a wonderful place to learn and grow. Julie Weir
I can’t say enough great things about St. Paul’s! They have truly fostered a love of school and learning in my son. He can’t wait for school days, and he talks about his wonderful teachers and the lessons that they cover constantly. I honestly believe he couldn't be in better hands, and that the educational foundation he is getting at St. Paul’s will serve him well for his entire life. As an educator myself, I will forever be grateful to St. Paul’s for the wonderful educational, social, and emotional experience they provide their students. Laura O’Boyle
St. Paul’s is a wonderful, nurturing Nursery School for our children. Just this morning my daughter said, “Our teachers are the best.” We couldn’t agree more. We our extremely happy our children are at St. Paul’s. Peter and Andrea Focareto
My husband and I are so pleased by how much our son has grown by attending St. Paul’s Nursery / Pre-School Program. Miss Jeanette, Miss Louise and Miss Lori really care about ALL the children and their growth and development both socially and academically. We love St. Paul’s and can’t wait to send our daughter there as well! The Mikulski Family
I am a mom with my second child attending St. Paul’s Nursery School. It’s wonderful! My child is happy every time she goes to school and comes home. The children are always doing projects with their hands and using their imaginations at the same time. The staff is impeccable. My child being on the shy side took to them right away; they are intelligent, wise, and respectful. There is more to be said about them but I don’t have the space. All in all I would recommend this school in a heartbeat. Thank you St. Paul’s Staff for starting off my children to a bright future! Lisa Jacobs
Our son has truly enjoyed his two years at St. Paul’s Nursery School. At St Paul’s he found a place where people got to know him well and made him feel welcome and good about himself. Jeanette, Louise, and Lori are enthusiastic, friendly, and caring. Our son loves them so much that he has said he wishes he could go to St. Paul’s again next year so he does not forget them. He is happy to go to school and takes great pride in showing us his paintings and craft projects. He also enjoys deliberating over what item to bring in to match the “letter of the week.” We were especially grateful for the way his teachers helped him overcome his separation anxiety when he entered the three-year-old class. Because his class was small, yet he had three teachers, we knew he was receiving individual attention each morning to help calm him so that he could become involved with the class and enjoy the activities of the day. Last September, I saw my daughter (Sona) drawing faces, something she had never done before. When I asked her where she had learned that, she told me, “at nursery school”. She had only been there a couple of weeks. Shortly thereafter, I’d hear her singing new songs. This year, in the four-year-old class, she has expanded on her letter and number skills, learned about the days of the week and the months, dinosaurs, tadpoles, caterpillars and much more. I’m really grateful because it’s a lot harder with a second child to find the time to teach them the things you’d like. Diane Chambers |
