The First Gospel—A Study of the Gospel of Mark
This winter (January and February), the Adult Forum will be reading and discussing the Gospel of Mark. It is widely believed that this was the first of the four gospels to be written, and our lectionary in the new liturgical year draws heavily from this gospel. We will learn about when and why this gospel might have been written, and we will use this knowledge to help us understand the text more deeply and to consider how we might apply the message of the gospel to our lives today. The Adult Forum meets on Sundays at 9:00 am in Wilkinson Hall (this session began on January 8), and all are welcome to attend!
